We just wrapped up a few days of juicing and had some fresh-squeezed tangerine juice hanging around. Into the VitaMix with you! 

Smoothie for 2:

2 cups fresh-squeezed tangerine juice (I am certain OJ would do fine, as well)

1/2 cup organic coconut milk

1/2 a banana (I typically use a whole one, but the tangerine juice brings a lot of sugar to the party and the coconut milk will provide the thickness/creaminess needed)

2 scoops protein powder

2 handfuls (loose cups) organic spinach

2-3 TBSP ground flaxseed

Why this is awesome for you:

Obviously we're packing in a lot of vitamin C with the tangerine juice, but also with the spinach. These two ingredients also contain a ton of folic acid and the spinach provides calcium. Coconut milk provides some healthy fats and promotes overall hydration. The banana, and again the tangerine juice, contain potassium. The flax seed is a shot of protein and Omega 3, and contributes to healthy skin, nails and hair. 

By drinking this smoothie, you've basically conquered the world.
